If you want CHANGE...good intentions must be followed by good actions.
Many things in life simply happen, but positive change isn't one of them. Changing anything in our world requires a catalyst. A catalyst is an agent of change. In chemistry it is "a substance that increases the rate of a chemical reaction without being consumed in the process." Harriet Tubman (underground railroad activist) said, "Every dream begins with a dreamer."
Change begins when you care enough to make a difference. If you care, you have the potential to change your world. Small actions made consistently lead to big changes.
To make a difference in our world, we need one another. "I alone cannot change the world, but I can cast a stone across the waters to create many ripples." - Mother Teresa
Good intentions alone cannot create change. They must be followed by action if you want to make a difference. Here is a little tale that illustrates this point:
"Five frogs were sitting on a log. Four decided to jump off.
How many frogs were left on the log? The answer is five,
because deciding is not doing. You have to do more than
decide. You have to take action."
The biggest gap between failure and success is the distance between "I should" and "I did".
If there is anything in my life that I want to change, I only need to decide that I am ready to make it. "Let us remember, one book, one pen, one child, and one teacher can change the world." - Malala Yousafzai
